We are a football family and we rarely ever miss watching our favorite team play (on TV of course lol). Brendan, my 10 year old son, is probably the biggest fan of them all! So for Thursday’s lunch I thought I would create something he would get a kick out of… a football lunch! I was a bit pressed for time so I kept it simple but I think in his eyes I scored the game winning touchdown! At least I hope I did!

Served in a Lunchbots Trio, Brendan’s lunch contained:

  • A football shaped sandwich cut with a cookie cutter and with cheese details (I used scraps from my CuteZcute tool but try using the rim of a plastic cup to create the detail).
  • A couple of broccoli florettes
  • Way Better Snacks Multigrain Tortilla chips
  • 5 Strawberries

In full disclosure, Brendan also got a full size granola bar that he could eat at morning snack and it fit perfectly over the strawberries. I’ll leave the sandwich filling up to your imagination!

So what do you kids love? Sports, animals, shapes or music? Believe me you can find a cookie cutter for it! Try craft stores, kitchen stores and the online possibilities are endless! You’ll score a touchdown of your own! ;)

Next time I’m going to take a little extra time and add a cheese NE on the football for our favorite team! Happy football watching!
