Tomorrow’s the Big Day…

3 words, BACK TO SCHOOL!

Yes, tomorrow… am I ready for it? NO! The thought of wrangling 2 more kids out the door in the morning doesn’t thrill me. I have to be honest! However, I really am happy they are going back. I think they need that part of their life back. They need to be mentally challenged, to reconnect with school friends and quite frankly spend more time out of the house and less time wanting to kill each other! Anyone else know what I mean? Siblings!

This year my oldest Bailee is going off to high school leaving me to cope with my age! I do hope she has the best freshman year ever. My second, Brendan, is heading out to 5th grade, his last year at elementary school. It is hard to believe I won’t have a child gracing those hallways for a couple of years after this school year (we’ll be back though when the littles get bigger lol).

It’s all very exciting. Tonight we’ll have a kid’s choice takeout dinner (probably pizza and not my homemade pizza shucks lol). We’ll lay out their clothes for tomorrow, put out the backpacks, we’ll set alarms and get to bed early…. of course we’ll pack lunch. It’s what I do! It will make me feel better to know they have a piece of me with them!

So tune in tomorrow for the reveal of Brendan’s special back to school lunch! If you have been following on Facebook or Instagram you have been seeing some of my practice sessions so you know I have been working hard!

In the meantime…

Grown Up Lunch of the Day:
Ham and cheese on wheat roll up sandwich, with Sweets and Carrots Terra Chips, strawberry hearts and tomato mozzarella salad (tomatoes from our very own container garden)!

Toddler Lunch of the Day:
Hot dogs, cheese stick, red pepper strips, blueberries and a banana (sliced up back for peeling).
